What is the passage about? What does it say? What does it mean? What principle does it show? How can you apply it to your life? Finally, memorize one verse from 1 John. God’s doesn’t love you so you can sin. He loves you so you can be free from sin.


WEEK 2

It’s not you against me, it’s us against the problem.

Read the book of James. It’s 5 chapters. Set a goal to read 1 chapter a day and as you read investigate what it says about communication. What should you do when you face trials? What do you think about 1:26? Spend extra time on 4:1-12. What happens when you submit to God? Spend time memorizing parts of this message like our ONE BIG THING. Use it when you are tempted to fight about something silly...like towels.


WEEK 3

MAKE THIS MESSAGE WORK IN YOUR LIFE

Go on a date this week! Ask these questions. What does your ideal weekend look like? When do you feel most loved by me? If there’s one daily habit that you would like me to do every day that would make you 10 times happier, what would it be? Having fun never goes out of style. Think about one thing you really like about the person you love.


WEEK 4

MAKE THIS MESSAGE WORK IN YOUR LIFE

If you are single take time to evaluate your perspective on singleness. Do you believe that singleness is never second best? If you are married take time to pray together in a new way: before a meal, before you leave the house, text each other little prayers, and be flexible. Check to see what / who is sitting on the thrown of your heart.


WEEK 5

MAKE THIS MESSAGE WORK IN YOUR LIFE

Memorize Philippians 4:6-7. When you have a problem - pause, and convert the problem into prayer (literally start praying and asking God to intervene in your problem). Now, convert your worry into worship (start thanking God for his faithfulness in the past, and for a Godly outcome through the process). Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
